Changes to the moonlight race course as the first Rollerblade® Moonlight Half Marathon gets underway.
Venice, March 19, 2025 - 2025 brings great news to the Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon & 10K, the international road race event over the distance of half marathon and 10 kilometers, organized by Venicemarathon in collaboration with the City of Jesolo and scheduled for the evening of Saturday, May 24.
Much more spectacular will be the first part of the race course designed together with the Municipal Administration and which, compared to the past, will also pass through the historic center of Jesolo this year, running along the Sile river and thus adding new and very suggestive views, especially at sunset, to a route already scenically rich in naturalistic aspects different from each other such as the pine forest, the seafront and the beach. The organizers are therefore working to remeasure and certify the new route of the half marathon and the 10K and to prepare the new road closure plan.
The rich program is completed by the Alì Family Run, the 3-kilometer race dedicated to children and families that will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 24 May, with departure and arrival always from Piazza Milano.
Registrations for the Moonlight Half Marathon & 10K, open for several months now, are proceeding quickly. All information is available on the official website of the event www.moonlighthalfmarathon.it. Registrations for the Alì Family Run will also open soon.
Piazza Milano has been confirmed as the location of the colorful and lively Jesolo Moonlight Village, which will be as always the heart of the two days, Friday 23 and Saturday 24 May, full of events, music and entertainment and which will welcome the passage of all those registered for the event. Piazza Milano will also be the departure and arrival site of all the races, while Parco Grifone (a few meters from the Piazza) will await all the athletes after the race for the Moonlight Party, Deejay-set and Pasta Party.
Another important new feature this year is the introduction of the first Rollerblade® Moonlight Half Marathon, a 21-kilometer test event on inline skates with a fun motor nature, organized by Venicemarathon in collaboration with Rollerblade®, a leading brand in the inline skate sector that is part of Tecnica Group, a leading company in the world of sports equipment and pride of Veneto.
The Rollerblade® Moonlight Half Marathon will take place along the half marathon route and all participants must have inline skates. The Rollerblade® company will be present at the Moonlight Village to test skates and offer advice to all those who want to approach this type of event for the first time. We remind you that skate races are already present in several international marathons and half marathons as official events, including the Berlin Marathon, the Ljubljana Half Marathon and various events in the United States.
The first race to start will be the Jesolo Moonlight 10K (around 6:30 p.m.), followed by the Rollerblade® Moonlight Half Marathon (around 7:00 p.m.) and finally the 14th Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon at around 7:30 p.m.
Registrations for the Rollerblade® Moonlight Half Marathon are open and available on the official Moonlight Half Marathon website www.moonlighthalfmarathon.it, with 500 places available for this first experimental edition. All registered participants will receive a race pack with the official Rollerblade® branded t-shirt.
