In the half marathon, which this year will inaugurate the new route by also crossing the historic center of Jesolo, eyes will be on the Italian former marathon record holder Eyob Faniel, whose career began in Jesolo with a victory in 2015. "I am very fond of this race because it all started here 10 years ago and I experience it a bit like a home race. I have just returned from Kenya, where I spent a good period of training at high altitude and tomorrow evening I want to run fast, because I plan to do the Sydney Marathon at the end of August, so tomorrow evening's time will serve as confirmation of the work done".
Giving the Italian a hard time will be the Kenyans Shadrack Kenduiywo and Dennis Kipkemboi Meli, the Eritrean winner of the 2023 edition Shumay Mogo Solomon and Eyob's training partner. The cast also includes Hicham Boufars, Castor Mogeni and the Italian Alessandro Giacobazzi, Italian marathon in 2022.
In the women's field, it will be an open battle between the Kenyans Cynthia Jepchumba and Ruth Gitonga, while the Veronese Arianna Lutteri will be at the start for the Italian team.

RUNNING FOR GIULIA CECCHETTIN “We want to make some noise and run on behalf of Giulia and all the women victims of femicide” said Alessio Cecchettin, Giulia’s uncle and Gino Cecchettin’s brother. “Since I am a runner, I thought that running could be an excellent opportunity to send messages of solidarity against gender violence. There will be about ten of us, including the family lawyer Stefano Tigani, and we will run wearing the shirt of the Foundation created by my brother Gino, to honor the memory of my niece and transform pain into an opportunity for society. We will start with the first race in Jesolo and then we will try to participate in a series of other running events, always with the same spirit”.
